I’m a huge fan of the athleisure trend and owe someone a huge thank you for making it stylish to wear yoga pants all day without having to workout. There is just something so right about a pair of black leggings, I honestly wonder what I ever wore before them? It’s also very important (at least for me) that not every pair I own looks exactly the same… I am all about the variety. I love to mix it up a little with my legging game, whether they’re a shiny/metallic material or theres a little mesh down the side. I typically throw on a basic top or and bomber jacket with the statement leggings, just to really tap into the “model off duty” look. If its more of an errand running and coffee with friends day, I’ll wear plain leggings with an oversized sweater and booties. Leggings are one of the only articles of clothing you can wear all year round, so its important that they are high quality to avoid re-purchasing them a thousand times.

Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoy busting my butt in a workout class – nothing better than a good sweat session. But, I also enjoy looking good while doing so. Throwing on gym shorts and an old sorority t-shirt doesn’t exactly make me feel my best and inspire me to work my hardest. No, I want to look in the mirror during that barre class and be excited about my outfit and pushed to work harder. I am confident that when I’m on the bike and I see my cute leggings it makes me tap it back a little harder.

There are A LOT of athleticwear lines out there and sometimes a gal doesn’t know where to start, so you end up going back to the same brand you’re comfortable with. My girl Kari at Fitness Collective has made that process a little more simple. She has searched high and low for the best brands and has compiled a great variety of lines. She is based in Lexington, Kentucky but hosts pop-ups all over the surrounding area! She has a fantastic Instagram account HERE that she sells from as well. Be sure to check her out + let her know I sent you!
